MOSI OA TUNYA- The smoke that thunders! (Zambia)

INTRO
This was part of an 18 day overland safari that saw me and 39 strangers-turned-friends visit 6 African countries. The trip was organised by Green Ranger Safaris and is an annual trip. (2018 safari from August 14 to September 1st)
Blog posts every Tuesday and Friday for information on this trip.

MOSI OA TUNYA
I hope you figured this is the original name given to the world’s largest sheet of falling water, also known as Victoria falls. It forms the boundary between Zambia and Zimbabwe and can be visited from either country.

An important tip to note is that so many activities are offered here. If you don’t do prior research, you might be overwhelmed by choices and finances. Find out before your trip, what you’d like to do, how much it costs, and if you can get discounts by paying for  combined activities. A couple of them are rafting, bungee jump, swing, zip-line, helicopter ride, microlighting, abseiling, cruises, canoe trail. Others around Livingstone are Chief Mukuni village tour, elephant trails and elephant interaction, game drive in Mosi oa Tunya National park among others.

Some of the ropes that people were risking their lives on while I rafted down below. I can’t wait to share my rafting experience. I shook hands with death.

For accommodation in Livingstone, you can check out The Waterfront lodge. They are also a good option for doing bookings for the various activities.

Until next time,
Happy traveling!
