NAIVASHA; Lakes tour

How many lakes do you know in Naivasha? I love water bodies as is evident in most of my travels; dams, rivers, lakes, oceans, you name it. However, until last year, I only knew of L. Naivasha which I had been to a couple of times. Enter L.Oloiden. And then Crater lake! And islands to match!

This giraffe was in a moderately urban area so I dismissed it for a statue, and then it started peeing! Notice the building behind it

Lake Oloiden. It has a greenish appearance due to the algae that flourishes there. It’s also the home of many pelicans that were a spectacle to watch, especially while they fished.

Fish sold straight from the lake. The also fry them and sell to tourists. Made for a good snack.

We’re not saying you can’t walk around. Just know if anything happens, you’re on your own.
